ABout this film

Awake is a sci-fi short film inspired by films such as Her (Spike Jonze, 2013), The Martian (Ridley Scott, 2015) and Hitch (Andy Tennant, 2005). This movie raises questions regarding the implications of digital worlds and what it means to be human.

This film is an intimate look into the lives of two individuals who must learn to see past their differences and connect on a deeper level in order to survive. The story comments on aspects of society that are not felt as much today as they should be, such as friendship, optimism and self-actualisation along with questioning whether technology can fulfil the social need for human connection.
